You start from nothing every game as it is and lose a lot of time and potentially your ability to upgrade and the entire game as a result if you die, is there really a compelling reason for this mechanic to even be there in addition to that? Everything about it makes the game worse, just take it out.

It's not fun and there's no reason for it in a game this fast-paced, it's a terrible mechanic. Trying to play co-op is miserable, you're playing against each other more than with each other at almost everything, especially starting out. Early resources also need to be easier to find right away so you aren't wasting the entire first day just mindlessly running around to gather enough to get a weapon before nightfall. Player unique drops would help with the quantity and the drop rate, so you're not fighting against each other to start the map. Put more enemies on the map and promote people fighting together for early game (gain more souls/resources when in a group of 3 for example)Īnd most importantly: You should be able to play the game from start to finish within an hour. Make the maps smaller so we can explore them quicker Let us exchange parts for others (fire bosses parts for lightning, ect) So its 1-2 hours to get to endgame, and a build I have no control over.Īll weapons need 3 abilities from the start.Īll classes need at least 3 active abilities which are unique, strong and interesting.Īll resources need to be increased in quantity and drops. Now I have finished the game once, do I really want to play again and just hit more rocks knowing it will take an hour or longer to get to the part which is actually enjoyable?Īdding to this I cant play as a lightning viking again, maybe my team will use those resources before me, maybe I wont find good runes, maybe even the right boss wont spawn. The problem is that all the fun (having 3 abilities on a good weapon, lots of hard enemies hording over you, having some runes) is entirely back-loaded to the end of the game. 20-30 minutes of fighting the wolf finally using 3 abilities. 30 minutes of more challenging content like hideouts, using 2 abilities 1 hour of grinding rocks, iron and wood upgrading the base, killing brain-dead easy AI while using 1/2 abilities on your weapon
